OUR ROOTS & HISTORY
Founded in 1993/94, with roots dating back to 1987, the Coogee Bay Rebels were born from the strategic merger of the Clovelly Snakers and the Regent Rebels. This union brought together two strong Eastern Suburbs cricket traditions to form a new, unified force.
Our identity was solidified in 1995/96 with the official adoption of the name Coogee Bay Rebels. This shift marked a significant milestone in our journey, reflecting our deep connection to the local community.
Format
Our senior summer competition is the Sydney Morning Cricket Association (SMCA). We play 50 overs per side across two consecutive Saturday mornings, providing a structured and competitive environment for players of all standards.
Timing
Matches are played on Saturday mornings, typically between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM. This schedule is designed to accommodate our community members who are active in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
Location
Our primary home ground is Waterloo Oval, with other matches in the Moore Park area - and occasionally across Sydney. We are proud to be a local club serving the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, providing a welcoming environment for players to enjoy the game.
